Decent rooms but lousy air conditioner, weak water pressure in bathroom, disinterested staff

This hotel came highly recommended and we were highly disappointed. The reception area seems antique and is beautiful; but the service was patchy, we were unable to use the swimming pool because "it has chemicals in it", the a/c in our room gave out early in the evening and there was no fan; the shower did not drain well and the water pressure was inadequate. Staff spoke little English. There were limited facilities for eating/drinking. The location is outside the city centre and up a series of frustrating one-way streets. Value for money was very poor. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
