Nice, quiet hotel just off the main city centre.

Checked into this hotel on a recommendation by a local who's my friend. Was pleasantly surprised by what greeted me. As it is, Chiang Mai is a very green city set in the mountainous region of Northern Thailand. It a quiet little motel just off the main city centre; A short 5 minute walk to the brings you the moat surrounded style "old" Chiang Mai town.
I can't say much about their ability to cope with a large crowd cause it was obvious I checked in at a very quiet period. But nonetheless, I found the accommodation ample for this price point.
Little niggles? The bathroom a bit small. The air conditioning a tad noisy (not a problem during the colder months).
