Romantic getaway

definitely a first class hotel. great villa, great service but food also come at ' great ' prices
to go anywhere in the hotel, they take you in a caddy.
when we go, it was low season, only fifty percent occupant. so it is very quiet.
there is no swimming in the beach as the waves are high and water muddy, and no watersports allowed.
as the beach at banyan is a private beach on an inlet, it is very rough.
but the outside beaches are bigger and open, they are actually swimmable and can do some other watersports like kayaking. so i think that is a biggest negative for banyan tree.
we did the spa in the rainforest thinking it should be renowned but turned out to be very mediocre.
