A wasted opportuinty

I nearly electrocuted myself several times trying to plug in my laptop in the room I stayed in. Seems like only one set of electrical outlets were properly grounded. The wi-fi internet service was blazing fast, surprisingly. Also that was about the end of anything positive about the hotel. Only two of the entire staff (the twins) spoke english, so I couldn't get even basic questions answered about laundry services or the hot water being broken or the hotel phone not working. It was a real struggle. Food was good. But nobody in the restaurant spoke English so if you had any issues you were kinda out there on your own.

It's an older hotel. Quiet. Not close to anything useful except the Esplanade shopping mall. Nothing in walking distance. For the sheer frustration of the shoddy electrical, no english speaking staff and poor location I wouldn't recommend this place. There are far better choices in BKK

Normal experiences
I don't have any feeling about this staying, it is just a place to sleep at night. It is an old hotel, everything looks like 10 years ago conditions.
