We were expecting something very special and overall it has been a very disappointing experience. We got an upgrade which is great but there was dead leaves in our pool, and a dead cockroach in the morning in our bathroom. Not what you expect from a 5* hotel at 500£ a night. Breakfast was just ok. Staff is lovely although the whole introduction process that every staff member goes through is a bit irritating. They also exactly know what you’ve booked and what your room number is, and it made us feel a bit monitored. It felt quite empty and really lacked of atmosphere (we were often on our own at the beach bar!). I also suspect they use MSG in their food as it tasted very salty and I didn’t sleep well at all (which is one of the effect MSG has on me). We can tell by the population that they only advertise in the US and in China, for people who are not interested in leaving the hotel. Location is average: not the best beach and quite far from the main road. No shuttle to the main road.
