Very good, bit remote & could use finishing touch
stayed here for 6 nights around new year 2011 / 2012
+ very warm & friendly staff (!)
+ pool area is in real life as beautiful as the pictures show, with jaccuzi
+ intimate setting in green garden
+ huge, peaceful, quiet beach
+ good internet wifi connection. not free but very affordable (100 thb for 15 hrs) and reliable
+ spacious, airconditioned rooms
+ no small children
+ breakfast is good and the restaurant is situated directly at the beach
+ restaurant is also goood with reasonable pricing
+ staff made a huge effort for new year’s eve celebration
mainly german tourists and visitors from scandinavia
things you should know:
- hotel lies 15 minutes by taxi from khao lak town (300 thb for taxi in high season)
- activities are limited to relax, swim (pool and sea), read, eat, get massage, sleep and walk,
- 3 to 4 stars, to western standards
- things you should know about the room
o window frames, front door and bathroom door are a bit primitive (others might just as well describe it as being “charming”)
o the bath tub is a concrete box: very big, but not comfortable and hard to clean, also for staff of room cleaning (impossible to get sand out of the tub)
