Firstly, do not look for Krisada Hotel. Look for Krisda Villa because that is the name on the signboard in front of the hotel! Secondly, there is hardly a garden. The way the picture was taken I thought I had booked a hotel that had a path that led directly to the beach. Wrong, there is a road between the hotel and the beach and it is not a beach but a ferry pier. No way you would want to swim there. Thirdly, it is a good 10 mins drive by car to the main street of Ao Nang where the restaurants, shops and ferries to take you to the various islands near Krabi. Beach at Ao Nang is nothing to crow about but the beaches at Tub and Pudu Islands nearby are exquisite ( better than the ones near Koh Lanta) Fourthly, the reception is sometimes manned by a very young boy, maybe 12 years old who does not speak any English. Difficult to get any help from reception even if the regulars are manning the reception. Fifthly, air conditioner blows right at you at the bed. I personally find that uncomfortable. Finally, I booked Krisada in desperation as rooms were running out in Krabi and I needed 4 rooms. Luckily I had my own car so getting to to town was not difficult. If you just need a room to stay and a fairly large one at that, Krisada is good. There won't be any balcony or sitting in the garden for reading, relaxation etc
