restored mansion with history & unique location

My mother and I had a very relaxing time at Praya Palazzo. The hotel is quietly hidden in the proximity of the old Bangkok. Although easily accessed by boat from Phra Athit pier, it offers a peaceful ambiance with a great view of Chaophraya river. Its building was converted from a historic western-style mansion once belonged to an elite Thai-Chinese family that had undergone a long history and several adaptations before having become this unique boutique accommodation. Its restorations deserve a special recognition. Every detail of hotel facilities and services, including decorations, food and garden, has been thoughtfully designed to deliver the story of Bangkok during the period the mansion was built. I highly recommend Praya Palazzo for any architecture/culture/history enthusiast.
