Has potential, but not quite what we expected

When we saw the photos on their profile, we decided to splurge a bit on the amount we'd be willing to pay.... unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told we could only have the room up front that "most people do not prefer" because of the noise and proximity to the road. We didn't mind, but then could understand after the first night's stay. Very noisy near the lobby and restaurant, desk phone ringing, light from entry shining right into the windows. And, we needed to wait for 30 minutes to get water flow in our room, as the water hadn't been turned on. Fortunately, they moved our belongings into another bungalow the next day, while we were on a tour that we booked through them. (Which we found cheaper rates elsewhere).

The new bungalow had an outdoor bathroom attached, so we needed to be very mindful of keeping the door closed to not allow in mosquitos, and the very large cockroach that enjoyed running around the bathroom walls. We are not super picky, and enjoy a little nature around us (the lizards and frogs are generally welcome guests), but moving from air con to humid "outdoors" to use the toilet in the middle of the night, and trying not to let in the unwelcomed guests was a bit of a chore.
It seems the place is still under construction, as the electrical outlets in bungalow 2 were pushed inside the wall and could not be used. We unplugged the TV.

If you stay here, be prepared to walk a bit if you'd like walk around the streets of town, shop, dine, or get to the beach.... it's a bit away from the main center of town. We enjoyed not being in party central, the friendly gentleman (husband) who walked us out as we were leaving, and the support of the staff moving our belongings to the other bungalow.

Quiet environment, but a bit far from market

It's standard
