Very nice owner operated hotel on the beach

We stay at DR Lanta for almost 3 weeks in the very low season. It was wonderful. Both pools have a kid pool that was great for our 3 year old. The beach is wonderful for people with little kids. It's calm and shallow. It's a short ride in a tuktuk or walk up the beach into Saladan. There's a great German bakery within walking distance. There's a cooking school right on the beach to the south of the hotel where you can learn to make great Thai food. DR Lanta isn't as fancy as the hotel next door, but the service is much better.

Great staff, great location, good price

wonderful rooms with large balconies.
we were a group of 4. everyone enjoyed the feeling of being at an all-inclusive resort: great rooms, awesome pool, good restaurant with wifi, and near the beach.

if U R not driving- U R like a prisoner in the hotel
