terrific tibetan temple style buildings
appearances are deceiving .. beautiful teak timber chalets .. but the colour images do not translate into a good hotel. welcome was non existant smiles were never to be seen. restaurant was at best mediocre. our $44 room was twelve sq.metres with two twin beds and vanity desk made out of cardboard (maybe a bit better). and a big teak w'robe no hangers. from the front desk we crossed a largish gravel area with some broken tiles and builders stones. not a great introduction to our stay. we asked about an upgrade and were shown a 'disney-like' gorgeous pool side bungalow .... alas it was built for some monk to use as a cell. they had squeezed in a queen bed, a teak w'robe,a cardboard vanity but forgot about space to walk around in. wait for it. wait for it. the two pools were spectacular.. we swam in them for two days just awaiting for our time to leave. it's the first time in the last 6 years we were looking forward to leaving.
i would recommend that the owners spend a few nights to find out the level of 'non service'. was dished up
