I stayed at Lanta Miami Resort for two weeks in November. I was travelling by myself and had a brilliant time. The location is amazing with a gorgeous pool right on the beach. The Thai food in the restaurant was excellent and very good value, but there are lots of other bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk along the beach (it's perfectly safe to walk along the beach along at night). There were lots of families there during my stay, but nothing that was too loud or distracting for a solo female traveller. I stayed in a room at the back next to the main road and it's worth noting that traffic can be loud, but I used earplugs so was fine. The complimentary breakfast is fairly basic, but in keeping with other hotels in Asia in this price range. Koh Lanta is very quiet and relaxed and this beach has the most amazing sunsets. I previously stayed on Long Beach and much preferred Klong Nin beach. Would highly recommend and definitely return.

Amazing beach, cheap food, okay value

Clean Hotel (no resort...) with cosy athmosphere direct at the beach
