beautiful!
the island & the resort are beautiful. we went just before high season so room price was good & they were just setting up a little shop that sold drinks & snacks for much less than the restaurant. the kitchen staff were especially friendly & helpful even preparing vegan breakfast for me each morning. wifi was surprisingly good. the resort advertises non-motorized sports equipment & did have masks & snorkels but the kayak was broken so we rented next door. the pool was quite dirty when we arrived but was cleaned after we requested. comfy bed & nice room though the decor was a strange mix of simple sheek dark wood & flower prints typical of most nicer beach resorts & the faux retro look that was popular in Bangkok a while back (cheap white furniture, great aunt's wallpaper-tiles, etc), but i'm being picky here. rooms really do need drying rack however for wet clothes/swimming suit! only real negative was that the resort didn't seem very eco-friendly, small plastic bottled water provided & no refill bottle if you have your own water bottles though the kitchen staff did fill ours willingly when asked. also no recycling or suggestion/option for not having towels replaced each day (even after I asked that they leave the towels they were changed. final plus were the two dogs, dang-moe (watermelon) & jenny, both very sweet.
