Paradise resort with only few "flaws"

First of all, the Thanya Resort is at the best part of the beach apart from the even more southern Koh Ngai Resort, but from there you'd have to cross the cliff every time you want to go to any other place on the island. The Thanya is a lovely place to spend a week or two, with a great pool, wonderful graden, very polite staff and a terrific beach and view. The bungalows are okay and satisfyingly clean (the occasional ants and a lizard or two are probably not avoidable in this climate), the shower is rather basic though. The mattresses are pretty firm but we slept very well.. The restaurant is good but not great, especially the burgers could be better. A bit pricey overall. The breakfast is okay, but it can become boring after a while (no bread apart from toast, for example, no cheeses or sliced sausage, and the croissants are rather bland). Omelette to order was good. The price for the accommodation is justified. Koh Ngai as a destination overall isn't cheap but it's worth it.

Nice resort,but needs some improvement
