great resort for relaxation , right on the beach
This resort promised a lot but didn't quite measure up to the 5 stars
seriously lacking in maintenance, ( unfortunately Thais build things and then let them fall apart ), The location is perfect for a remote getaway on the beach, unfortunately because of the remoteness price gouging is rampart, The food was good but at western prices, They charge 90 baht for a 600mm bottle of water which is 7 baht in the fridge at 7-11. I suspected this would be the case so stopped on the way and filled the car with beer, mixed drinks, chips etc. Found a great Thai/ seafood restruant 5 minutes walk Nth up the beach and this saved the day, as the resorts 2 restruants were very expensive, and always empty, Go figure! if they lowered the price they would get much more custom. The staff are excellant, very friendly, helpfull and good english, Happy hour 4 to 6 pm at the pool bar, for 1 drinks was great.
The resort is very remote and there is nothing to do outside the resort except walk on the beach, although they do provide a bus in the late afternoon to take you into the local markets. It suited us we wanted to get away from it all for a few days
