Reasonable hotel on an amazing beach

This might be the best beach in Thailand - long, golden, empty, with beautifully clear water. Great swimming and sunset walks. That's the main reason to book Natai.

The resort is pretty good, although not the best. They committed a cardinal sin by overbooking and trying to tell me they didn't have a room for me even though I'd paid in advance. Of course, I insisted and they found me a room. They made up for this poor start by giving me a generous late check out. Pretty good food, although the breakfasts are not up to the high standards of other southeast Asian resorts. The staff are friendly but slow to get stuff done.

It's worth knowing the hotel is Russian-owned and most of the guests are Russian. Not a problem, but you will be in a minority if you aren't speaking Russian by the pool.

It is a good hotel
