Excellent base for Ao Phang-nga

I was looking for a base to explore Ao Phang-nga National Park, and felt the hotel worked great for that purpose. My room was clean, comfortable and had attractive decor. The park across the street turned out to be a fun place for a later afternoon stroll--a city park with many local people out for exercise amidst the impressive karst landscape. Nearby restaurant options were OK. The staff had limited English, but were friendly and helpful.

Ideal location for us cyclists. Very clean and modern
Would have breakfast by the PTT station next door. They allowed us to store our bicycles indoors overnight.

Great value for the money I spent
Pros, the room was very clean. Cons, the faucet was not secured tightly in the bathroom and there was no refridgerator.

No lift, unfriendly front desk
Bathroom bad smell, front desk owner specks little or no English, owner has whole family living on premises....breakfast cold, no lift, balcony door broken, nothing around area
