Racist

I've stayed at Lamphuhouse many times over the years, the first being in 2008. This time, I (English) brought my wife (Myanmar) with me and I was keen to show her the cosy little hotel I used to love. However, on our return to the room at around midnight after having dinner (we landed in BKK late), the night-time manager stopped us from going to our room and said that my wife was not allowed to go upstairs - automatically presuming that an Asian girl with a white guy must be a prostitute. This is not acceptable. I understand that there is an issue regarding sex tourism in Bangkok, however, they should have checked to see who had checked into that room first before accusing guests of being prostitutes. Obviously, I told him straight away the situation, but the manager failed to apologise, and failed to even seem slightly regretful for his accusations.

Good to enjoy in kaosan
