friendly, quiet, good alternative to koh samui
we stayed 5 nights : 3 adults and 2 teenagers, 3 rooms. we came from bangkok with nok air (chumphon airport).
the italian owner and his thai wife, made us feel really at home. their team is great, and helpful.
it was a pleasure also to share with davis some memories of europe, with a drink. he's talkative.
the resort is very quiet, on a large piece of land, located 500m from the nana beach (but with a free shuttle to go). and new (1 year). cottages are fine.
there are a 10 cottages around the pool, along with the restaurant, and several "villas" behind.
the beach has several thai restaurants (thai style). i would cite one : mali blues. perfect thai food.
one good point : davis's team know how to cook pasta ! at anytime, they can prepare spaghetti pomodoro for instance, very simple, or with basil, perfectly cooked.
one regret : the wine list.
davis should really increase the choice of wines, even though many people drink beer. i was frustrated during new year's eve party or during "saturday pizza" (yes every saturday, they have a special pizza night, with real owen).
to summarize :
-a nice place, quiet, to get some rest
-if you want to avoid the crowd and vulgarity of koh samui
-a manager who is also the owner, it's important, and who doesn't count his time to please his customers
-prices reasonnable
