Great rooms and service for the money

The room was well worth the money, the front desk and the concierge very friendly, professional and helpful. The price of the breakfast however (I opted not to book a room including it) is way over the normal rate for Thailand. For the hotel itself I would not hesitate booking there again but because of the area(Sukumvit) I won't. No taxi will turn the meter on, even for Thai nationals, and will gauge you as much as they assume you are unwary of the local price(which was not my case). They will bluntly ask you THB 400.- to 500.- for a ride normally costing 50.- Fortunately the hotel offers a free shuttle to the nearest BTS station.
