I would stay here again next time
Good - The L Resort is located in the middle of the walking street in Ao Nang, which is where you want to stay (not in Krabi town) as it is just a few km away from the pier that you will be using for tours to various islands. The area has restaurants, street food, massage, pharmacy, and all the basics you need to have a relaxing vacation. Krabi town, on the other hand, is rather run down, and is great for a food visit and certain prehistoric attraction, but not necessarily for resort stay as it is far from the beaches. The breakfast is decent, and offers basic but sufficient selection of western and eastern options. I was happy with the service of the staff, especially with the speed at which they delivered the iron at my request, and service to fix my hairdryer. Parking is available, which we took advantage of, and would recommend travelers to rent a car.
Bad - Unfortunately the beach in the area is full of shell shards, so it is not really useable. The wifi is rather spotty, and the pool could be better, although it looks beautiful at night. Don't expect Krabi and Aonang to be some mega vacation destination with all the amenities, otherwise you'll be disappointed. It's a relatively rural area meant for couples and families to really relax and take awesome boat tours to various islands and snorkeling.
