Smart accommodation but would hire a car to see the real Thailand

We only stayed here for one night on the way to the airport. We had wonderful welcome and the accommodation was huge (a 2-bed apartment). Great value for money for the room. Location is quite manufactured as it is like a vacation resort so you don't feel like you are in Thailand. The restaurants in the local are quite expensive as you captured in a Marriott/Starwood/Anantara vacation area. We would come here again though and stay for longer but we would ensure we had car hire.

Stay during Chines new year.

Good 4-star resort for families
