Poor Hotel Condition
The staff at Vipa Tropical Resort are very friendly which makes me feel right at home when I first check-in, but my experience just went downhill after 3 nights.
We have an impression that the resort is running really low on budget. The water pressure in the shower was bad because the resort owner didn't want to pay for a better but more expensive water pump. After complaining to the front desk, we've got a new room, but the water pressure still isn't great. In BOTH rooms, there's only 1 bottle of complimentary water given. The bed linens felt damp, and I've gotten some bugs bite during the night.
Though the jacuzzi in the pool looks amazing, it's only switched on automatically during a time period in the DAY (when people are out doing activities). We were looking forward to get a dip in the pool after a long day and requested for the jacuzzi to be switched on but got rejected because the staff has no control over it.
And on our last day, we need to catch the minivan at 6am in the morning. There was no water supply in the morning that day.
The only thing that I could compliment is the staff performance. Lee the receptionist, and the young girl - taxi driver are very courteous at all time. We've gotten many free taxi rides to the beach. You can also arrange for a pick up as well.
