We were in a room in the front that I didn't much like. It was clean, but the bathroom fan emitted a smell like other reviewers have mentioned. Solution was to not turn on light when using bathroom. Also, the noise from the street didn't bother me, but the streetlight was very bright even with shades pulled. We switched to a room at the back of the hotel that was more updated. It was perfect. No warm water for showers, but this is a value hotel, and your u do get used to it. I enjoyed the breakfasts. It saved time, and started our day off right. There was western style eggs, or Thai style breakfast, or even yogurt and fruit. The staff was very helpful in arranging tours. We did the elephant jungle tour which was excellent. I give the staff 5 stars for helping us with local things like directions, calling cabs for our early morning trip to the airport. They really excelled at that. For this price point it is perfection. Just remember it isn't a high end hotel. I don't like those anyway, too sterile, and less local flavor.
