Save your money and tears!

My friend and I was booked to stay here for 5 days after spending 2 weeks in Patong. On arrival we checked in and were given our room keys (2 Standard rooms). The website does not have pictures of the standard rooms, only pool view and pool access room pictures. We were horrified when we entered. Very dirty and the bed had a lot of stains on the sheets and pillow. The towels provided also had stains and the lights in the room were very dim. Room was VERY basic, not clean and had no safe. We immediately went to reception and asked to speak the manager. Communicating in English was a problem. The girl on reception told us there was no manager but only a owner. We asked to speak the owner and she told us the owner was out. We asked when the owner would be back and the answer we got was "I don't know". We explained our anger on the conditions of the room and she offered us an upgrade (paid). We ended up going for 1 pool access room (we shared) as that's all they had and ended up paying an extra £135 roughly for the 5 days. The room was nicer and reflected the pictures online apart from the mould on the walls. We went out to eat and returned to our room in the evening to find it infested with cockroaches and mosquitos! WE checked out after 2 days and staff did not offer a refund or bother to ask why we checked out early. I could go on and on but I will sum up the key points:
* Communication in English is a problem
* Hotel does not do laundry
* Apart from the hotel restaurant, it is a long walk to other very small local ones. ( Not catered for tourists)
* Caged birds were very noisy throughout the day and night
* Hotel popular with locals and on our first night we had a group of school kids hang around the pool who had clearly been drinking and we’re making a lot of noise and jumping into the pool etc.

If you do stay here then don't say I did not warn you!
