Quiet, relaxing hotel

very relaxing stay in a very quiet hotel with excellently appointed rooms. close to the riverside so bars and nightlife are within a two minute walk. whilst the hotels traditional thai style villas has been thoughfully developed around the original teak house so as not to crowd it and the landscaping is generally good, there are some poor design decisions that jar with the eye - the strange tiered grass area in front of the old house looks very self concious, poorly proportioned and out of place. the plant wall along the side of the pool, at about 15m high is simply far too big and dominating - i guess it may have been done to hide something but i also wonder if it is simply a conceit.

Wonderfully quiet hotel with superb service.
