A seaside escape turned romantic
Before arriving in Phi Phi, we hadn't done much research of the area; we had no idea what to expect. We certainly didn't realise that we would be on an island without cars or roads!
As we were hopping off the ferry, we were somewhat concerned that we wouldn't find out way to the hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised to find a representative from the hotel waiting on the jetty for us. They took our bags in a large trolley and guided us through the busy corridors along the yellow brick road to the resort.
We booked the seaview bungalows which were located at the top of the view point. Admittedly, the walk up to our room wasn't easy, but we are an active couple who turned it into more of a challenge than a chore.
The view - wow. I've seen pictures of this place, but there's nothing like walking out onto your balcony to find this paradise waiting for you. To put this into perspective, my now-fiance proposed to me while we were in our room. It's a tranquillity seldom found elsewhere, far enough away from the speakers to sleep easily at night - but close enough to stumble your way home after a great night!
