Amazing view from Hillside Bungalow Sea View, but with drawbacks
First of all, the view from the bungalow over the beach and surrounding hills is truly amazing and also the view from the pool is really nice. :) Agoda is not very accurate and Google Maps is better (
7°44'41.0"N 98°46'27.8"E), but the resort is on the north eastern end of the beach so make sure you don't follow the signs View Point to the actual view point. Then you'll have to make the steep climb twice. :(
The price is definitely determined by the location (and friendliness of staff), but not by the quality of bungalows nor cleanliness of facilities. Yes, you'll be able to hear the music from the beach, but it's not too loud and to be expected at this location. The layout and flowers make it look great, pool is nice and breakfast is basic. The major drawbacks were the outdated bungalows, bed bugs in my first (luckily not in my second) and the small (gecko) droppings on the walls. The garbage underneath and behind the hillside bungalows (from reconstruction it seems) is avoidable and clearly indicates lack of care. My experience and review therefore is mixed. This could be an amazing facility given its location, but currently it looks like these bungalows have had their heyday if things don't improve quickly.
