Great Staff
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Code Samui hotel. It's on the peaceful side of the island and has the most magnificent views of Kopangang island and the the northern gulf area. It's abaout a 20 minute drive into the tourist district of the island but that's a good thing. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the morning breakfast was a delight although they could probably use another expresso maker. It took a while to get coffee if the restaurant was busy. We had a minor issue with our dinner and the owner was notified and went above and beyond to rectify the situation. He was very nice and extremely understanding. He has a very strong policy of wanting each and every guest to be extremely happy with their stay. American and European travelers should be aware that everywhere we stayed in Thailand the beds were extremely firm if not plain hard. The Code was no different. That's is apparently just the way things are there. It's a small price to pay for visiting paradise. We'll be back hopefully sooner rather than later.
