I normally try to stay at 3 or 4 star hotels when I travel but it was difficult to find such a hotel this time a year in Koh Kood to a resonable price. Neverland hotel seemed to be a very nice hotel according to the description on agoda even though it was just ranked to 2 stars. I didnt expect to have excellent service but I have at least stayed at 50 hotels in Thailand and this was definitley the worst one:
- Far a way from everything on the island
- Koh kood has excellent roads but you have to go one km through sand to reach Neveragain hotel. Motobike is a must but going through this sand in the dark every night is rather frustrating and dangerous
- the beach bungalow looked nice but the bed was like lying on the floor and there was no refrigerator and the aircondition was not working properly
- the service level was poor both in the resturant and in the hotel. After two days the cleaning lady stopped cleaning our room, just put two bottles of water on the stairs.
- alot of misinformation... taxi not go 8.00 it go 8.30... motobike not cost 400 it cost 500 etc etc.
- no refilling of soap
- only two channels on the tv
- not even a hangar on the wall to put your clothes
- breakfast really bad
- food in restuarant very boring and service none to zero
The only real positive thing was a very long nice quite beach!
