Overnighter for Catching a Train
A wonderful lobby, but smallish rooms that are showing their age. For the price it's a bargain when you need to catch a train.
I was able to get their easily and stay out of a taxi and Bangkok's notorious traffic by taking the MRT subway to the end of the line. You come up at Exit #4 and you're practically in front of the hotel.
Come train time, you go back down Exit #4 and pop up Exit #1 inside the train station. Fast. Brilliant. It took me no more than 10 minutes to get to the station via the MRT tunnel under the square.
While most hotels have free WiFi, this hotel charges an exorbitant amount. I couldn't believe my ears and had to ask twice. The reply I heard was, "฿240 for 2 hours." ฿240 is about $8! It's high by US standards and scandalous by Thai standards.
The breakfast buffet is standard fare and worth it to have it included in the room price. Otherwise the hotel restaurant is on the high side, and there are few eateries in the neighborhood.
