Outrigger Koh Samui AKA Akaryn

We enjoyed 18 nights in Garden Villa with Private Pool. Room very well appointed and clean. Comfortable bed. Pool 8m x 4m so much better than just a plunge pool. Hotel is somewhat isolated, so transport is required to visit other locations. Sea is very rocky, and although communal rock shoes were freely available, it was difficult to swim in sea without injury from rocks. I thought the F&B offer a little unimaginative. On our 12 breakfast, it seems a new Chef was appointed, and breakfast offering improved with selection of fresh fruits. These were previously limited.
Had steak one evening, which was not the best I have ever eaten, but certainly not the worst. However, for $60.00 I expected a better offering. I ordered medium, received well done. Nice pool bar to watch the sunset. Happy hour from 18:00 to 19:00. Unfortunately only 2 bar staff preparing cocktails. Plenty of waitresses, but lack of staff preparing cocktails ensured too long a wait between drinks.

Lovely quiet and small hotel perfect for couples
