Atmospheric guesthouse with lovely owner

We stayed at Sriraya with our two sons aged 4 and 6 and our night there has been a highlight of our stay in Thailand so far. The building is an atmospheric yet homely teak house with a veranda on stilts with hammocks overlooking a Sea view of islands and boats. We spotted sea eagles and mudskippers. The owner is lovely, very friendly and helpful and the free hot and cold drinking water are a nice touch. Rooms are basic but comfy and clean. Two playful puppies and cats provide entertainment. Lanta old town is interesting and pretty, a good opportunity to witness island life with some mellow small bars and restaurants.
