Iconic Town of Old Thailand !

R-Lampang Guesthouse is homely and idyllic for my purpose. I was there to paint and with their open plan space courtyard and restarant, it was PERFECT . The river along the Guesthouse flows gently and the garden provides a cool and green shade. Large tables and chairs are available in the open air restaurant for eating or painting.
Staff at R-Lamapng including the boss himself, is always attentive and ready to provide for your requests. The only gripe I personally have is that there are no lunch/dinner service available or even hot water at night.
Just a 10 minutes walk away you can shop at a huge departmental store "Serea" or food markets or shphouses selling all sorts of things. Horses and carriage still ply the roads and I suspect must be the only town with this iconic transport. Its a restful town and if you are looking for a Thailand of the past this is a good place to start with.
