Was everything perfect. Nice resort and very nice staff. We had a great time. Just the beach was unfortunately not so clean, but that seems like a big problem on the whole island in the low season.

We decided to pay for a nice hotel on Ko Lanta, as we’d been travelling for 3 weeks and wanted a bit of comfort. It was right on the beach and the rooms looked decent in the pictures. We turned up, and straight away saw a building site! It was roughly 2 meters away from our balcony, on the other side of a narrow path. Work started at 7am and went on until roughly midnight. The bathroom also floods due to poor drainage. We were told the bed sheets and towels get changed after 3 days, this didn’t happen. We wouldn’t have minded but the white towels and linen had orange stains all over them, and you could see this was a hotel wide problem because the other guests towels were the same when they were drying on the balcony. I don’t know if it was the linen or the old beds, but me and my fiancé both woke up with fresh bites every morning. We could feel ourselves being bitten at night. Considering we’ve been traveling for 3 weeks, and not had a single bite, the hotel is the only factor that could realistically cause this. Also, my fiancé is vegetarian and asked them to not put ham in her carbonara to make it vegetarian, when it came, it had ham in it. So I asked for a fresh one and explained again. When it came back a second time you could see they had picked the ham out of it because there was still small bits of ham left in it. I went to the kitchen and saw the staff eating the bits that they had pulled out of it! The only saving grace, the staff were polite and friendly, and there’s enough places on the beach that you don’t have to spend time at the hotel. If you do stay here, spend your time at Patty’s secret garden next door, it’ll save your holiday!
