Cha Am Villa Beach has many customers who keep returning year after year (especially Thais). It's a 4th generation family business. We have been impressed by the personal touch from the thoughtful helpful English speaking owners. The rooms are big enough, they are cleaned and maintained well and there is a relaxed happy atmosphere about the place. Staff rushing over to carry your bags is normal. One helpful staff member carried our two cases to the room without using the wheels! Cha Am Villas is good value for money. It does not attract the wealthy and it certainly doesn't attract the noisy Brits and Euros that some of us quieter folk try to avoid. I'm a Brit. We were here for 3 days and returned after a spell in Bangkok. It was good to get back to the tree lined pool. There's a European couple here at the moment who seem to spend most of each day lazing by the pool very happily. The position is excellent. Right outside are many street food stalls on wheels, many selling the local delicacy Squid. Barbecued to order. An excellent pizza restaurant is nearby. Breakfast is a very laid back affair. I wasn't keen the first time we visited but now I love the informality and Thai busyness. Very much recommended. But then I'm on a budget. There are posher hotels.
