A good small themed hotel in the old city area.

We booked for the Corner Double room and I must say it was worth the money. However, this hotel may not always be the perfect choice for everyone. There are some pros and cons.

The hotel is strictly non-smoking. It is clean and new. Though the hotel is small, there is a lovely elevator for you. The decoration of the hotel is bold and contrasts with the old Bangkok area ambiance. Anyway, the warehouse theme is ok for me. The front desk is really friendly. There is an in-room free wifi, and if your room has a player and TV, then you can borrow some DVDs (from a few choices) at the front desk, free of charge. The restroom/shower is clean. The bed is comfortable, and the sheet smells good.

Of course, there is no gym, pool, or fancy facilities. But the hotel locates in just 3 mins walk to Khaosan walking street. Also, around the hotel area, you can find good local foods, museums, temples, the grand palace in a walking distance. Search an internet for that. In this area, the hotel is for a late-night bed time only.

Here come the cons. The room is totally NOT sound proof. Not recommend for a sensitive sleeper. The parking is just the side of the road in front of the building, capable for 2-3 cars only. The benefit of the corner room is "size" only, and not the "view", nor the facilities. Despite a big window, there is no view worth mentioning. And with price range for the corner room, there are some other hotels nearby which are arguably comparable, if not better, for you to choose from. However, this hotel ranks among top 3 for the area and the price range, by my preference. But definitely not the top first for sure.
