Dirty Room and Location. Staff were not interested

Visiting Koh Tao was the highlight of my trip. I felt that my requests were totally ignored. I since I booked many months ago, I asked for a room with a view. (Not a hard request I felt) My room was on the ground floor next to the entrance to the 'L' block. It was very noisy in the early hours of the mornings with drunk people returning to the rooms. The room itself was "cleaned" everyday, but had cob webs hanging from the bathroom ceiling, and two dead bugs on the bathroom floor for the duration of my stay. The bathroom sink had mold growing around it. It clearly hadn't been clean for a long time. The complex is HUGE and the staff seamed more interested in the younger dive customers than a solo traveller. I even had to cut my trip short, due to (my error) in transit connections from the island to return to Phuket. I informed the staff that I will be checking out a day early. I didn't even get asked the question "Why is everything OK"? The attitude I felt was. Hey we've had your money ...BYE ! Would I stay there again...? No

Nice And Centrally located

Worse each time

Good place for divers - and the family on land
