We booked a standard bungalow hut and were “upgraded” to a cement building whereas the host took the air conditioning away and offered it to us for 300B per night. I understand that we didn’t originally pay for it, but it would have been MUCH cooler in a bungalow as booked instead of the HOT box upgrade. At one point we went to sit in the shade on the property on the beach and they wanted to charge 50B to sit in the shade or 100B for a chair in the shade. The shower the first night was great with pressure and the instahot. However, the second night it seemed as though they shut the water off... no pressure, no water and no heat. They didn’t clean the room during our stay (which wasn’t a deal breaker for us - just wanted to note it). I feel like everything was a setup to get more money. Although noted upon arrival there was a safe box in each room, two of the three rooms booked did NOT have a safe. The Bungalows are RIGHT on the beach and close to food and stores which was great!
