Our stay was for two nights. We arrived early and left our bags there as we could not check-in yet. The manager/owner was an odd sort. One weird thing he asked for (besides my passport) was a copy of my ARRIVAL CARD. Duh, they take it when you arrive. I have never had any hotel in Thailand ask for that. I refused as I did not have it of course. And I probably wouldn't give it to him if I did as he was rude about the issue. Never had to deal with him after that. The room was small and run down but okay. The A/C was good and the balcony was nice to dry clothes on. Most of the rooms surround the courtyard/kitchen so you get to hear the racket from people making their breakfast and bratty kids. The water pressure was terrible and the shower was an all-in-deal. No dry and wet separation. I hate Thai showers LOL. Wi-fi was good, but a tip: if you are on the second floor use the first floor Wi-Fi network. The second floor network was terrible. As for location, it is a short walk to many temples etc. And a word to the wise, in Chiang Mai a metered taxi is almost non-existant so beware the Tuk-tuk. And don't feel bad about laughing in their scamming faces when you turn them down. A cheaper one will come along. And plan your trip back to the train, plane, or bus accordingly. Chiang Mai traffic is as bad as Bangkok.
