Great guest house in Chiang Mai
This was our first stay at Tri Gong residence. After reading all the great reviews, we decided to check it out. I'm so glad we did. The location was perfectly placed within the walls of the old city. We were walking distance to great temples, markets, street vendors, and everything we could need during our stay. The owners were great, answering questions when we had them and helping us setup a fantastic cooking class and rides to the airport. The room was comfortable, the AC worked great, and it was really nice having unlimited supply of water bottles to drink and a fridge to use. Some people may be a little thrown off by the shower not being separated from the rest of the bathroom, but it really was not an issue at all. Just make sure to get your toilet paper out of the way and it's fine. In fact... I kind of want this setup in my own house now haha! Cleaning would be a breeze! Their dogs were so cute, especially the new puppies, and while we heard their barking we never found it to be problematic. And while we didn't use it, there was a full kitchen available in the courtyard. I'd highly recommend Tri Gong to anyone going to Chiang Mai. Their rates are fantastic, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is really unbeatable.
