A bit dated though comfy BUT...
This hotel seemed dated despite the fact they told me it was fully renovated (when I’m not sure). The lobby seemed quite promising but there’s a few things that needs improvement as maintenance seems lacking in the room:
Cons:
1) toilet bowl was full of yellow stains - either clean it thoroughly or change a new one altogether. This was the thing that kinda put me off the entire stay
2) there were 2 safe deposit boxes in the room, one was out of batteries while another had no instruction on usage at all!
3) they should provide a mini kettle if possible (I didn’t mind not having the toothbrushes as I normally bring my own)
4) water bottles is a little bit stingy ( I drank an unfinished bottle and instead of replacing me with 2 new bottles they only gave 1)
5) Some lights in room was not working
6) the blinds are not exactly night curtains so come morning it can get a tad bright - luckily I got my own eye mask for sleeping
7) surprisingly it was not that easy to call Grab Bike !
8) quite a fair bit of traffic lights to manoeuvre but again depending if you know how to come in from the main road which is bit more of a short cut
Pros:
1) 7-11 across the street and a tea cafe right next door though it seemed closed on weekends
2) it’s a decent stroll to patpong (if you know how to navigate there’s a quicker route somehow that brings you right to Silom in around 10-mins)
3) close by some chinese eateries as well
4) morning reception is quite friendly; night reception was ok though a tad grumpy
5) reasonable rate
6) I took past occupants advice and asked for a room away from main road hence noise level was minimal
I think this hotel must have been a gem in its hey days. They really should do something about the maintenance as everything in the room just felt kinda old. I especially didn’t like the stained toilet bowl! I think even as a boutique Budget hotel this is just some standard expectations!!!
