After reading through all of the possibilities for I was discouraged as all if the hotels had such inconsistent reviews, so I went with this one, which had no reviewers yet. After my visit to Phi Phi, I now figure it is because people are disappointed with the island itself. I will stick to the hotel and the immediate vicinity.
The hotel has 6 older cottages and a strip of newer hotel rooms. We stayed in a cottage. It was nice enough with clean linens, working a/c, a mini fridge, a safe, warm water shower. The bathroom could have used some tile/grout repair, and we saw a cockroach on the sink. Our porch was right on the restaurant, but the other cottages had more of a garden view. It was a bit noisy at night, but not disco-noisy. I had earplugs, which you should definitely pack for Phi Phi where ever you stay. The restaurant is closed by about 11, so the noise dies down..
The photos showing the beach right there are a bit misleading. The hotel and restaurant is right on the water. however, The charming long tails crowd the area as it is a stop for water taxi, which is convenient for getting around. The beach is also very narrow there, disappearing at high tide. You will not be swimming here. If you want a swimming beach right outside your hotel, book at Long Beach.
The restaurant was good for Thai food, seafood and chicken. You are not far from the shopping areas and other restaurants. A 24 hour convenience store is right around the corner, with an ATM. The first stall around the corner did laundry quite quickly.
The sunsets were nice from this side of the island.
