I stayed there before so I was expecting the same great baipho hotel I stayed for 5 days. It was different. It was smaller. It had no lift. I had to climb the stairs to get to my room. Little things which were just not up to my set expectations being a previous guest. Not bad. Just different. Anyhow, thank goodness my room was only on the second floor.
It was raining when I checked in and as soon as the door opened I detected a stench coming from the bathroom. It wafted through the whole room and that was troubling. Closing the bathroom door helped. Then I just left the room and got drunk. Coming back I had no recollection of a smell and the rest of the stay had no smell issues as it did not rain heavily. Lucky.
Overall a comfortable stay. Staff at the hotel are tops. They go all out to make your stay comfortable.
In searching for my accommodation for the trip Baipho wasn't my first choice because they were more expensive then many other places that were 3 stars. I went with them because I had such a great experience previously.
They should change all their towels though. They are a little worn.
