Everything was great about our stay here. The only downside was that the snorkel masks let in water and another patron had broken the hotel kayak the night before we arrived.

I was very excited to get to Koh Jum and Ting Rai Bay Resort. The island is beautiful and unspoilt. We were not, however, convinced by the resort's hospitality efforts. Because it is largely an undeveloped island you can't really walk down the road and have your pick of restaurants to eat at. This means we had to either eat at the resort or neighbouring resorts. This said, the restaurant at Ting Rai, although in a beautiful setting, desperately needs to up their game with the food. Everything was slightly overpriced, which I would not have minded if it was good food, but everything we ate was at best average. While the Thai food was decent (not great), the Western food was terrible (save breakfast). Other small things also add up to make your stay just a little less special (note we were in the cheapest room, but still expect some basics). No complementary water in the room, bed was not very comfortable, rock hard pillows and everything felt a little warn by time. Generally the place needs a bit of a revamp, to make the most of the beautiful surrounds.
