Excellent Location For a Quiet Weekend
This is a great place if you seek peace and quiet away from the tourist-infested neighbors of Koh Jum. The beach offers private serenity with warm clear water, located on the property with views of Koh Phi Phi in the distance. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Our bungalow was quite pleasant but a little too hot as we were hesitant to open our windows due to monkey warnings. The bed was large and the bathroom was surprisingly comprehensive for a bungalow. There's also a very fun bar on site with a very enthusiastic tender.
On the downside, we found that although the thai food was good the western food was awful, especially the breakfast. We often ended up eating at other restaurants in the bay area. Also, since our longboat from the ferry to the resort was diverted to a location further down the island due to rough waters, we ended up getting charged for the ground transport to the hotel. While not much of a surcharge, it felt petty as we had no control over the weather conditions.
