conveniently tucked away from the crowds

the room that we had initially booked was not available on arrival so we got assigned a room with shared bathroom (which was not a problem as the shared bathroom was very clean and spacious). the food was excellent and we stayed for 5 more nights (after having booked only 2 at first) because we liked the place so much. yes, it's a bit of a hike if you want to go there by foot - but there are taxi boats leaving off the main pier so it's not really a problem (and you don't have to stay in the busy city that's filled with the traditional backpacker crowd).
