Nice cozy hotel!

We booked the room with the large tub, and city view. Informed the hotel that it was a birthday celebration, and on our second night a staff knocked on our door and presented the birthday boy with a cake. Such a pleasant surprise! The gym was well equipped, and only complain was probably the rather small pool. Staff service was excellent. On the day of checkout we were going to walk to the nearest subway station to take a train to the airport but the staff offered to fetch us in tuktuk (2 mins drive) and told us it’s free. When we wanted to tip him he insisted that it’s not required (of cuz we tipped him for the excellent service!)

Nice room, attentive staff, lots of bad advice

Short stay at Akara
Had a great stay at the Akara. We loved the afternoon tea, so much food and treats provided. The pool was on the small side, but functional. Overall, a great place.
