Bed that made me want to murder

We were charged for a substandard basic room that had a bed with springs literally popping out of the mattress. Housekeeping was subpar and the "kitchenette" was useless with a smattering of random utensils. The AC was directly over the bed and was either freezing at full blast or barely cooling the room. The place is family run and the employees are quite friendly but it's as if the management / owners have never stepped off the island or ever stayed in a real hotel. So, be prepared. A local experience is fine and that was what we were looking for but we didn't have one good night's sleep and were overcharged, especially when we realized a family in another bungalow, which was newer and had two bedrooms, was paying slightly less than we were.

Disappointing
