Relaxed

Kanita is slightly remote on a steep hill, but provides free shuttle service to and from beach and town 4 times a day and it's not too hard to walk. The great advantage is that you're in the jungle and instead of screaming drunks and loud music, you can hear frogs and birds.
And yes, there are some ants and lizards in the room. It's not a big deal and if you complain about that then you don't understand how nature works. Putting up a “No Ants Allowed!” sign probably won't help. The toilet didn't flush properly, staff "fixed" it but the problem came back the next day, "fixed" it and didn't work again, then I gave up and used another toilet instead. Internet connection was not great but workable most of the time.
Best reasons to stay here: the laid back atmosphere, the wonderful pool, the lovely natural setting around a lake, the nice views and the friendly people.
